Lab Testing
A lot of what happens in medicine comes down to information, and lab work is often where that information starts. Blood panels, urinalysis, hormone testing, metabolic markers, thyroid function, cholesterol levels, and many other tests give your provider a clearer picture of what is actually happening inside your body, not just what you can feel.
At Lakeside Care Clinic in Osage Beach, MO, we offer in-office lab testing as part of our commitment to providing complete, connected care. For many patients, being able to get labs done in the same place where they receive their medical care is a significant convenience. It also means your results are reviewed in context by a provider who already knows your health history and what they are looking for.
Lab testing is used across a wide range of situations. Sometimes it is part of a routine wellness visit to establish a baseline or catch problems early. Sometimes it is ordered because a patient is experiencing symptoms that need to be investigated. And sometimes it is used to monitor how well an existing treatment or medication is working over time. In each of those cases, the goal is the same: better information leads to better decisions.
We take the time to actually review your results with you. Numbers and reference ranges can be confusing, and context matters enormously. A result that looks slightly off on paper may mean very little, or it may be the key to understanding something that has been bothering you for months. We help you make sense of what you are looking at and what it means for your care going forward.

The lab testing process at Lakeside Care Clinic is designed to be as simple as possible. Your provider will order the appropriate tests based on your health history, symptoms, or ongoing monitoring needs. Most standard blood draws are done in-office during your visit, and depending on the tests ordered, results are often available within one to a few business days.
Once your results are in, your provider will review them and follow up with you to discuss findings and any recommended next steps. If something requires further investigation or a change in your treatment plan, that conversation happens promptly so you are not left waiting and wondering.
Types of lab testing we commonly offer include comprehensive metabolic panels and basic metabolic panels, complete blood count, lipid panels and cholesterol testing, thyroid function testing including TSH, T3, and T4, hormone panels for men and women including testosterone and estrogen, HbA1c and fasting glucose for diabetes monitoring, vitamin and nutrient levels including vitamin D and B12, inflammatory markers such as CRP and ESR, urinalysis, sexually transmitted infection testing, and additional specialty labs depending on your clinical needs. If a test requires an outside reference lab, we will coordinate that process and make sure your results come back to us for review.
